Considering the Albatross

Postby Harold » Tue Aug 07, 2007 4:16 pm

Hi All!

I'm considering to use the Albatross in one of the upcoming legs of my tour so I took her up for a spin over Juneau, the capital of Alaska,
one of my favorite area's to fly in. Ben Ryder suggested posting this shot that I really like and which is currently my desktop wallpaper.

For anyone interested in this aircraft, it is the Grumman HU-16 Albatross 2.0 by Greg Pepper and Michael Verlin, which is available here.

Apart from some blurries in the background I think this shot came out really good! If you'd like to see the original shot please click here.

What do you think? Would this be a good choice of aircraft to use in a future leg of my tour?

An excellent choice!  A nice classic for rugged Alaska. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Golly there Harold. I thought you might consider taking the Sikorsky S-38 Twin-engined amphibian.

Well Harold, I clicked on "Here" and discovered your photo album. Beautiful glider photos. I think I'm going to try some shots like those way above the clouds.

Also checked out those baby picks. Good looking kid.

If you'll drop me an e-mail I'll send you a couple of other ones that I did for that contest (and which IMO (after a year) are nicer).

Heh ... I just recently remembered that I had that album. Those glider shots are from last years contest.

And thanks for the comment on Arthur but you should see him now ... he just had his 2nd birthday on July 24th.
Cool little fella, he has the looks of his mom but he's as naughty as his dad ;D
