Alaska flying

Cera Bell 212, coming in for a landing

Same landing (Cera Bell 212, alpine)

AlphaSim Pave low, Hill top departure

The shots looked pretty good then got cropped and resized which in my eyes made them look like poo.  I need to play around with that.  Please comment but if you see some thing wrong please give suggestions for a fix.  I am new at this picture taking thing and any advice or constructive criticism would be helpful

Hi Mike! Welcome to the V or the Madhouse as some of us prove it to be ;D And please ... don't ask :-X

These are fine efforts to introduce yourself mate! Not bad at all.

I think these shots are interesting to look at and #1 and #2 tell a small story. They look realistic enough to me and you have nice clouds ...

Compression is hardly visible in these shots as they are a little hazy overall. Like there's a coat of vaseline over them. I'm not sure on how to solve that but you might want to check the settings on the card ...

What do you use to modify these pics for use? I know if I save my screens for web in Photoshop there is a option to blur the images, I click that off and tweak the image footprint and my images seem clearer.

Hello Mike and welcome to SimV. I also recall having problems with compression and found a program called Irfanview very helpful.

Thanks guys!  I up dated my drivers for my vid card and changed the AA to 4x, though it made the game a bit choppy in med settings.  To save the image I press the "v" key in the sim then change them to jpeg in nero photosnap.  I also use nero photo to resize them to the required 800 size.

I still have some playing around to do.  Useing AA in the game seems to really blur things up.  I'm going to play around some more today and post a couple new pics in this thread this afternoon.

We're related in that case ... if you need anything just send me a PM.
Discussing your card is not something we should use this corner of the forum for ;)
