Just to add... for me FS9 and FSX are like two beautiful girls, FS9 a brunette and FSX a blonde. I would be happy with dating either of them even though Miss FSX is arguably more beautiful with her shiny flowing golden hair...she's also a bit 'slower'  ;D

Basically, if you have  the money to upgrade and run FSX well then that's great for you. Saying that FS9 is horrible and ugly when until recently you were happily posting your best screenshots from it sounds suspiciously like flaunting your good fortune at other people's expense. ;)  If you're going to do that, you should do it properly with shots that really show FSX at it's best. These two are just too similar for us poor FS9-ers to tell the difference.  ;D

Ok I installed some mods with some nice mesh............ Anyways I still HATE my fs9 textures....? Krig, you use Flight Environment riiiiight....? You have amazing skies, if you don't mind, could you please tell me which day and sunset sky texture sets you're using from FE?

This is funny because I beta tested FE-update 3 and I have no clue what's going on.

not realy krigl. how is he flaunting, he is putting proving that FSX is better BY FAR than FS9, his machine is pretty crappy tbf just well maintained and optimized. he isnt saying ohhhh look i have FSX and it runs like a gem. he is saying it is better.

until recently he was happily flaunting his FS9 shots? you mean then FSX came out so he starting showing those shots... makes sense to me....

Nahhhh. I kept seeing amazing fs9 screenshots so I got compelled to reinstall it, with crappy results.... I guess it was one of those 'feel sorry for me' moments. Anyway I have been messing around and now....:

There's some alternative horizon textures out there.

Well I think they are pretty close but you really can't compare the two sims with 1 screen shot, it could favor either sim in that area. Considering it cost prolly over 100$ just to get it to compare to fsx...I think fsx is a better buy  8-)

I invested $110 AUD on fs9 and $90AUD on fsX. Both have been great purchases.
