...and this one is from FSX. I didn't even realize that the runway texture glitched up (the default one is showing through), but I like the angle a lot, so posting anyway...

I managed to get the scenery today (I love parents :-*) and it is the BEST scenery for FS9.  It is BETTER than FSX with better performance!  My frames were averaging 15 around TNCM and thats with sliders pretty much maxxed!

Has anyone else noticed the special beach effect on takeoff?  The sand kicks up in the jet blast!  It's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO COOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!

I think its a safe statement.  The only things that FSX have that this scenery doesn't is nicer water, light bloom, and self shadows.  On my computer FSX runs at 15 FPS in default scenery with medium settings, but I can run flytampa at high settings with FS9 and average 15 and a little more most of the time

That just says you got a half-assed system...

...doesn't say anything about why FS9 version of TNCM is better :P

OH NO I didn't mean the FS9 version of TNCM, I just meant FS9 in general.  Although I believe the FSX version doesn't include St Barths or Saba, so....

Get a decent PC, spend some more time with FSX and we'll talk again.

But see there is the issue.  FSX is not for the common person.  My PC is pretty crappy, but at least it can run FS9.  And I have spent time with FSX, but it's been filled with frustration.  I'm not saying that FSX sucks or anything, just that it isn't good if you can't run it.
