It Could Be A Cold Night...

Postby TSC. » Sun Mar 11, 2007 5:15 pm

Hi all, Just a few from my trip out to SIRP camp 3 this evening. Just taking out a few supplies & familiarising myself with the camp & it's workers.

Just leaving Johnson Petersburg (PAPG) where there is now a very large operations base for the Stikine Icefields Research Project:

Heading west in the general direction of camp 3, just waiting for the ADF to kick in:

Snow blowing off the top of one of the mountain peaks - cool 8-)

Camp 3, situated on the western edge of the expansive Patterson-Le Conte Icefield on a spectacular sheer ice cliff above an arm of Patterson Glacier, this large, well stocked camp serves as the local supply center for other camps to the north and east:

A quick stop at the camp office to find out where to tie down the 182Q & where I'll be staying overnight:

Well here we are, as I said, 'It could be a cold night':

Thanks for looking,

TSC.
