And if it flies correctly, you should go tail first into the dirt every time you try going into the vertical!
I think because of the large wing area, and the high T-tail, whenever the Javelin went more than something like 45 degrees nose high, it went into a deep stall, because of the lack of airflow over the tail. I'm sure someone could explain it a little better (and more correctly, no doubt).
PS. Nice shots of an interesting & unusual aircraft. I saw a lot of them during the 1950s but never in those markings.
