Hopped in my Chipmunk so I could get a little "stick time" this morning. Will be meeting up with somebody a little up North tomorrow so I thought it would be appropriate!

As for the water thing, I know.
I can't really stand it either.
I played with my Flight Environment water textures for over 3 hours last night. I tried many combinations and can't get the same effect, less those lines! The actual texture is really nice as it looks like glass with just enough wave height and just the right colors, EXCEPT those lines.

I am really having a hard time deciding weather or not to just remove them totally and just deal with the other textures, which are nice also.

I don't know what to do  ::)

thanks but i am sure I have it already. besides, like i said, I am perfectly happy with the over 100 or so water combinations i can get with Flight Environment!
Too bad i am such a "perfectionist" when it comes to these textures....  :P

That really is a nice chipmunk you got there Dave. I also fly with it sometimes, like you said, when I feel like a bit of stick time.

With regard to the water textures, I pretty have a very similar setup as you Dave, with FE and all. I also have the same VGA as you, the ASUS brand, but I don't seem to notice the lines on the water as much. I do agree with you when you say it has that glass type of feel to it, just like real water.
