I was just re-reading one of your posts ramsa and I noticed that loght bloom thing and the trade off between that and water effects. Well I just reinstalled FSX the other day and havnt added any tweaks, I took off that one effect and went from 4-5fps on high settings in the big cities to 11-12 and at the airport spikes of 26-30. Im amazed on how demanding that one effect was :o

Ramsa, I'm extending an official invitation to you to write a tutorial on savings screenshots at the best possible quality. The StudioV would like to have it in the Tutorials Library. I'm sure it'll be one of the most widely read articles there. So what do you say, up for it?

Looks like I was sleeping when I posted ramsa sorry for not noticing you were taking off and not landing (Whoops) I only mentioned it because I love the goose and couldnt figure out why it was lopsided all the time(I forgot it had floats) its gotta be my favorite plane in the game.... And whats up with everyone talking about compression? Shots look the best I've seen, ever!  ;D

Cheers Gunny (I need to be awake when I post  ;D)

Also, isnt this the plane closest to the one in the disney series tailspin? (one of my favorite airplane shows of all time, even if it isnt realistic)

If you really are that concerned over some computer game screenshots...

You gotta admit, its quite funny how seriously some take this 'screen art' ;D

As promised here are screenshots of my settings in FSX.

WARNING:

These are not a tutorial !!!!!!

Each machine is different

I have replaced all my stock AI with the following 3 programs all of which are freeware which allows very high settings for AI traffic without a FPS loss:

World of AI
1) everything except the military (there is a bug in FSX)

Project AI
1) whichever airlines were not in the WoAI

Ultimate GA
1) everything they have to replace stock GA

You must remove and backup the stock traffic bgl in FSX to do this !!!!!!

WARNING: In this shot

Cobra:

That looks like a very interesting program and as soon as I get some extra change I am going to test it.

It certainly is a great deal cheaper than others on the market.

We'll see what it does with system resources and how accurate it is.

Some of the reasons that screenshots are so important to the FS community:

1) They advertise a site and the products available and can make or break the reputation of a site.

2) They allow us to see a designers accuracy

3) They are an excellent tool for a user to see problems and solutions

4) Today they are recognized by many Flight Museums as a true art form.

5) In contests they allow users to have the chance to win a product they might otherwise have not been able to afford

6) They are used in television programs advertisements and movies both in their static form and as videos.
ie.........................The History Channel.

7) For some they are a source of income.
