If my memory serves me right, the F-14 can only do about Mach 1.8-1.9, and rarely hits Mach 2.

...that was actualy achieved in leveled flight...

...I had to do a -G pushover to maintain altitude, and I went full elevator down and let it snap back to get rid of the red tint.

I might shoot a video clip if anyone is intreasted...

Btw, it only takes about 25 seconds to accelerate to that speed... ::)

F-14 declassified speed is mach 2.34. im not telling what it REALLY hits though  ;D ;)

cool pic, but yeah, totally off....way too fast

this is why i dont like flying fighters..most of the freeware, and a lot of the payware (from what ive heard and read) are totally inaccurate to real life specs...Dino's F-14D is about the closest to realistic ive seen yet. (8 years in naval aviation tends to train aircraft physics into most folks heads :) )
