Finally!

Postby Gunny04 » Sat Mar 25, 2006 10:50 pm

Well Finally I found that the new nvidia drivers will let my graphics card overclock and not lock my system down tighter than fort knox.... Well heres the result (Same graphical detail as usual, but smoother for me)

Yeah...To open the Cargo doors, you need to change the APU to Avail and External Power to Avail...only then will they open...

Great pics.... ;)

Nice, i really gotta update mine to!!

Please clarify something for me though, with the PMDG 747-400F, what is the difference between that and the Queen of the Skies model, apart from some new textures??

Looks very nice. When I finally take the plunge and get something complex it'll be the IFly freeware Jumbo.... also very complex... the PMDG jumbo would just be wasted on me... :)

Yes, you need the Queen first before you can get the 400F. It's not just a 'new set of textures', it's a full upgrade for the queen too. There's a new sound set, different for all three engine types and different engine characteristics for the three as well.

For the F model, the body is different, looking like a 200 in profile with the shorter 'hump', and there are opening cargo doors, loading vehicles, airstairs and of course, the opening nose itself. There are also minor differences to the panel and the virtual cabin behind the cockpit is completely different too.

As for opening the nose, etc. If it's the same as the queen, you'll see a 'PMDG' option included in the FS9 toolbar at the top of the screen. From there you'll find an option to set key assignments for all the individual doors/functions just like the 747-400.

So coolbits did not work?

I've done this to every computer I own (all have nVidia cards):
