Soaring

Postby ramsa329 » Fri Feb 17, 2006 8:50 pm

These are a first for me.

I read a very interesting article in PC Aviator magazine about soaring and decided that since I had a little time on my hands I would check the whole thing out.

I'm very glad I did. It was a blast.

I'm beginning to learn it so I really haven't yet gotten trully aerobatic,

Anyways this is an ASW-28 flying out of Reichenbach airport Switzerland.

What's the black line in the cockpit view?

And what scenery might that be?

The "black line " is a yawstring it shows (not surprisingly) yaw.

Its color can be changed.

The scenery is Switzerland VFR with additional add-ons.

Nice screenshots, If I could manage to stable out my constantly crashing computer I'd be back to flying...... I really miss it, Cheers, Gunny

Soaring is incredible, as well as those shots.  Excellent work!

Hey Ramsa,

Great shots. I can imagine that this type of flying must be very relaxing after a rough day at work... ;)

Steve,

Actually I also thought it would be really relaxing also.

But it's quite a challenge to find the thermals, catch them and keep soaring.

I had to work very hard to keep from constantly falling out of the sky.

LIKE A ROCK..................... LOL

Awesomely fantastiv shots in both series Ramsa! I haven't tried any gliding in fs9 actually with planes that are actually designed to do that... Have had some circumstances where I blew up an engine or just turned all the engines off (UN)intentially ;D

Those shot's are awsome, and soaring is very exciting if you can find thermals. Hawaii is also a nice place to soar!! ;) ;D
