Payware Showcase

Postby Tom_M » Tue Dec 20, 2005 4:12 pm

Just thought I'd show the best side of some of these lil beauties and mini-review em... ;)

Image

The exterior model may look average in the first shot, but the attention to detail in the textures and the alpha map shows the payware quality. The top-right shot shows the amazing sharpness and detail of the DVC... And that bottom shot is all about the BEA-utiful cockpit lighting! :D

Image

Here, the exterior model is functional yet accurate and the DVC is almost perfectly reproduced and puts the most detailed freeware to shame. I replaced some gauges to make them a bit clearer and added a CD player as the default gauges hardly looked different and weren't as good IMO. The weird shot angle is thanks to Active Camera's brilliant head-lag feature that creates a realistic experience, and makes flying fighters the ultimate rollercoaster :P

Image

Ahh, the Queen of the Skies! Exterior model has great attention to detail like the 737 and has more subtle realistic touches than the great POSKY model. DVC lighting is outstanding, as is the DVC itself- even the chairs move! :P

I love freeware, but these three gems (and the PSS Concorde) have certainly persuaded me to like 'the dark side' ;)

You take some very interesting shots, the angles are great! I love that 737 checklist shot. ;D

Ohh, and if you think the moving chairs are a detail, you should try clicking the soda cans.. They rotate!! LOL..!! ;D

:D Cheers! *clicks soda cans*

I'd recommend all these products to anyone who wants an even higher level of detail than the best freeware (737 Experience, POSKY/iFLY 747, JE Narcizo C150F) going!

Really cool minireviews Tom, I have the PMDG aircraft in these shots and you definately represented them to the fullest!  :)

However, that Cessna 150 kind of looks like freeware quality to me. The Flight1 Cessna 172 on the other hand is really nice! So theres no reason why this one couldnt be... ;)

:D Thanks guys!

The Flight1 C152's exterior model is nothing special but the cockpit is a lot more detailed than the best freeware C152's so that and the flight dynamics are where you get your money's worth. Bear in mind that my 'custom-fit' radio stack isn't the most tidy and the gauges I used for my F1 C152 are also freeware due to personal taste.
