DC-10 Flight

Postby Hai Perso Coyone? » Sun Dec 11, 2005 5:55 am

Hey there,
Seeing Micheal post some shots of the Aerosim L1011, I saw that I didn't have that package, so I went ahead and bought it. I think it's quite nice and you get a variety of aircraft...DC-8, L1011, and the DC-10. Since I can't find the SGA model any where, I thought this is my only option...and I wasn't dissappointed...so here is the DC-10 in Hawaiian Air livery...IMHO...looks very beautiful...Enjoy!!

I decided to add 100% AI to my Sim today and it turns out, I get a not-so-healthy 15FPS...at Heathrow with FS9 completely maxed out...I don't know if that's any good....ah well....Hope you enjoyed!!

Beautiful sky! And a fine plane too, though I prefer the Tristar...

Ditto!
I have the classic liners package aswell. But what REALLY annoys me when it comes to the L1011's is that You cant manually program the route into the INS. Instead you have to fiddle with a text file(!) to make the FMS read the route for you. This is not the case for the DC8/10.  :( If anyone have a solution here, feel free to chip in.

The Tristar looks really great, and if you find a better 2d panel for it, the package is very good.

I like those shots. 2 and 3 have a great effect.

BTW 15 fps as Heathrow is pretty good I think. If you are maxed out. Even people with the best of systems get low fps at times. My belife why is because the fs engine architecture is just not to good, really through fs98-present they have just modified the engine to work better.

I know in FS2002, the traffic was not so much of a hitter on FPS...I don't know why though ???
