not the best shapes as far as aerodynamics are concerned, but obviously they had other factors to consider whilst designing the B2... :)

I agree with the stealthy planform, but the B2 does have very good unrefuelled range which to me indicates pretty good aerodynamics.

Don't forget 3/4 of its entire wing span has elevons.

I didn't say it had bad aerodynamics! As with everything military it is a compromise.

Exactly! It obviously needs them, as most large delta/flying wings do ;)

I read somewhere that due to the complexity of the avionics in the B2 the pilot actually sat on the right instead of the left as with almost all other fixed wing aircraft. If thats true then there is at least one flaw in that model.

I can't really see the advantage in that unless a) the cockpit was badly designed, b) the "Captain" sits in the right hand seat as "mission commander" allowing the handling pilot to sit in the left and devote the majority of his time "flying" the aircraft...

After some research we found that the Mission Commander sits at the right while the Aircraft Commander sits to the left. In most cases it is the Aircraft commander who flies the plane.

So my educated guess wasn't too far wrong then! ;D

Stormtropper:

Really? I take off fine. Of course, I don't know if im giving it 10 degrees alpha, but I take off fine...

Definitely muuch better than the freeware model: The VC is surprisingly clear and well-textured for Alphasim, though not really functional, it is cool to have, and the model looks quite nice (textures are fine).

Was it worth $24? I don't know. I'm quite the cheapskate so I'm not gonna comment... I'll post some shots. THe important thing is it's a B-2, and it's the best one yet, ever, I'd say. I've always wanted a B-2. Now will CaptainSim please hurry up with their F-15.

I'm quite pleased with the result even if others aren't lol.

So you should be. Alphasim's releases have improved very much over the past year or so, and several of them are among my favourite FS aircraft.

Can't wait for the contra-prop dream machine now... ;D

It's out allready Charlie ;)

It took bloody ages to aquire those Griffon recordings :P

Careful with her though, those laminar flow wings create a pretty mean stall, but if you treat her right she is a dream.

I noticed about 2 minutes after I posted that I was out. Might wait til next month before I abuse my plastic...
