STORM CHASING!

Postby Fly2e » Tue Sep 20, 2005 9:13 am

Here are some shots of the great Lockheed WP-3D "Hurricane hunter" By Daisuke Yamamoto getting ready to go to work!
This aircraft is available right here at Simviation located at the bottom of the page!

It is time to get airborne from the Florida Keys and gather critical data about the approaching hurricane.

Image

We headed South-west toward the approaching storm!

Image

Our aircraft shook violently as the rains battered our windshield.

Image

With the dangerous storm readings recorded, it is time to head back...

Image

Below us, the mass evacuation from the Florida Keys had begun.....

Our Job is done.....

I hope you like them!

Dave

Darn you Dave! :) I did a flight last night with a regular P-3 doing "storm chasing", but never got around to posting shots. ::)

Oh well. Yours are better anyway. ;)

A bit of trivia, my dad worked with WP-3's in the Navy. Basically he served as the radarman for flights involving sea weather and conditions. Cool eh? I was hoping someone would make this model. :D

What kind of addons and tweaks are available, that are free as well LoL. Thanks for the reply, at the time the 9600 was not too bad and it plays almost all my games with full graphics on fine. But mine does not look like his screen shots. My water does not look that real, nor do the lights on the road look that real. Thanks for the replies
