Thunder

Postby ramsa329 » Wed Aug 17, 2005 10:54 am

I wanted to clear these from my HDD.

It's an Alphasim F-105 flying over Vietnam.

This series hasn't gotten much of a response and I suspect that this will be the same

In my opinion it was a period of time when some of the most beautiful planes were used.

and in my own way a tribute to the fliers of my generation who risked their lives.

In any case here it is for what it's worth.

Very nice Michael ;)

Sure wish I had, had the chance to fly the "Thud" but I didn't.

From the book "Thud Ridge" and I can not remember the author but he was a Thud Driver and a very outspoken pilot against the aircraft and tactics being used.
I do not recall him speaking out against the war or not but he was charged I believe.
The book is worth reading if one can find it now as I read it almost 30 years ago or better.

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
