Goodbye Freeware Screenshot Forum

Postby Yurei » Fri Apr 15, 2005 9:23 pm

well i purchased a galaxy membership at fsgenesis last night, so my entire sim-world is now payware. that means i won't be able to post much in the freeware section anymore :(.
i guess this forum will be my new home from now on. i will try to make myself comfortable and join dave and others that post more regulary here

Geez, Yurei....I'm starting to reconsider my no-payware embargo.  Two quick questions...what are your system specs and what's the framehit?

thanks guys :)

Two quick questions...what are your system specs and what's the framehit?

celeron 2.6ghz, 1gb ram (pc2700), 120gb hd, ati radeon 9800pro (128mb), 17" sony tft screen.
my pc is a nightmare but i won't be able to afford anything new for a long time ::).

i haven't noticed any framehit at all really. this one is just a mesh and landclass, it shouldn't have much impact on your system i'd say. i got frames locked at 18 and last time i checked they were going around from 15 to 18. sorry, can't give more detail on this at the moment, i normally only check frames when it's going extremely bad (like with almost all payware airports

You're welcome, and thank you.
When I first got FS2004 in Feb, I was constantly flying around Oahu. Mainly the Ford airstrip (I don't know the real name for it), but it was cool to take off from there, circle around the Arizona memorial, then swing over to Honolulu international to land. It's a great place to try out new aircraft.

Yurei, did it take a long time to finish installing Hawaii? mine seems to have locked up, but I don't want to ctrl alt del and end the process if it's supposed to take a while.

lol i know, like i said, my pc is a nightmare. it's been going for over two years tho and i won't buy anything new till this one dies ;D. but at the moment it's going resonably well. mind you, i already spend too much money to upgrade this thing (it used to have 256mb ram and a geforce fx5200 ::)). i also don't use this pc for anything but fs and the internet. so all hardware upgrades will be for fs only and as i tend to waste too much money on payware i'm really planning to wait till it dies on me. otherwise, no new processor ;)

hey chrisco. yes it takes a while at the end, which makes it seem like it locked up. don't worry just be patient ;)

Yurei I am getting a summer job this year (after school too) and building me a comp solely based on FS, But I dont play Just FS, Doom3, and some other good games run about, prolly going to put me down about 3000 dollars in total, if you build a PC based on FS..... it will do anything almost  ;D Cheers, Gunny
