Flight 1 ATR 72-500

Postby Hawkeye313 » Wed Jan 12, 2005 10:49 pm

This is my newest addition, the ATR 72-500.  I usually go for the older planes without all the fancy gadgets, and really don't know a whole lot about navigation other than GPS.  This plane is so nice, and I really want to learn all the ins and outs.  I went out and bought me some ink and printed out the manual the other night (just shy of 500 pages).  If you have been looking for a new addon, then I recommend checking this one out.

It comes with three different liveries, but there are several more available for download from their site. Image
The cabin is nicely rendered, as you can see.  There is a configuration tool that lets you change several aspects of the plane, such as passenger load and the "eye candy".

I use the Track IR3 Pro while flying, so I prefer the VC. This one does not disappoint.

I'm enjoying the ride on final approach at KATL.  They really did a nice job on this plane.  The window shade can be pulled down in this view.  You'll also find that the windshield wipers work, and REALLY keep the rain off the glass.  There are also sun visors available in the cockpit, for keeping the sun out of your eyes.

The designers even got cooperation from ATR in designing this plane.  Best 35 bucks I've spent on an addon yet.
