I'm using FRAPS(the free version) to take screenshots,
then editing them using IrFanView, and JPEG123 to compress and convert from bmp to jpeg. So I really don't know what's going on. Any thoughts ?

I have not used Fraps myself.  Can it not convert the file itself?

I use a program call IrFanview.  This saves the image as a *.jpeg (You can tell it too save it as this type and choose the amount of compression)  What I do is save as Jpeg with no compression then use a program called ACDsee to resize etc.

I am sure IrFanview can give better results than what your getting though!  It is free to do a yahoo search I think it has its own site.  Set it up to save as Jpeg with 85% compression to start with and see how things come out and what file size.  You may find over detailed scenery you have to turn the compression up a bit.

Try using GrabClipSave to capture still shots.  Fraps is decent (at best) for video captures, but I wouldn't recommend it for stills.  If you still want to resize, try IrfanView...great program with very few compression issues switching into jpg. ;)
Great edit, Bob.

Google it.

Back to the Area-51 thing. I saw a TV show before, People went up to the surrounding hills and filmed some footage of what was supposed to be area-51. Then they had to hide from armed solders in big 4X4's. Its seems believabe, The only thing that is not believable is the 'UFO's' and 'Aliens'. So any way..... I just thought i would add some really un-usefull info.

I put some hot links in this thread earlier that explain what A51 is and is not...... and the definitive Area 51 site is there.... "Dreamland Resort".

As one of the sites there says........ the big secret about Area 51 is that it isn't really a secret.

best,
