I'm learning beginners stuff about selection and layers at the moment, made this edit while practicing. I made a lot of use of the magnetic lasso and magic wand while doing Aerosoft Shine-removal... :)

I reworked these two bpbs as well...

Woah! That A-10 shot is awesome!

I've also recently discovered the magnetic lasso tool, as well as the selective sharpening tool. Getting some nice results out of it. But dang... nothing as good as those!
My specs... A hard drive, motherboard, graphics card, some memory, a keyboard, mouse, and monitor - in other words, nothing special.

Lovely shots and really well put together. However I think there could be some very small modifications which could enhance them even more ..... probably my personal taste but hey you never know.

I think all three could benefit from a touch more contrast (could be the way my monitor is set up), also 1 and 3 I think would be improved by a touch of sharpening (once again it could be my equipment).

The great thing about editing shots is that there is soooooo much scope and so many variations .... your shots are well on their way to becoming classics.

Thanks guys!! They did come out pretty well... though the stopped prop in the third - which I have to admit I didn't notice - kind of spoils it. A beautiful place to crash, lol.

Eno, yes, I agree, a bit more contrast might be good.  :)

Absolutely! These look like cr4p compared to what real 'masters' can produce. There are no added effects, no creative composite elements, there's no historical background to the pic, no knowledge or story. They represent progress for me because I've started using selection tools and layers to work on different parts of the picture in different ways. Before I just made one, maximum 2 layers and altered them globally. These three pics are all edits of original edits done in the global way to save time for practicing new stuff, hence the 'murky' look and lack of contrast. I've got a lot still to learn..... :)

see now....

these are good shot...lol

reminds me alot of what the photo community is going though right now, almost surreal looking pictures. but if you woulda done it right the first time with a split neutral density filter....you wouldn't need photoshop! :(

PS. do you have a hi-res of the caravan shot?? my favorite!

No offence meant, was being a little cynical that's all. I hope you didn't take it the wrong way. ;)
If/when I give it a go at editing I'm sure you'll see the difference between a beginner(me) and what you've accomplished so far. Which is outstanding work,be it a beginner or a pro.

No offense taken! I make a point of trying not to take offense when people complement my work...

Wow - far better than anything I could do. That second shot almost looks like a Robert Taylor print!

Nice work! :)
