Aha! Ive a great idea for a new competiton here on the V. Much like EDIT THIS but this time, someone posts a screenshot rather than a photo of somthing then we all get to edit it in any which way we like.

The original poster then chooses the best, and the winner then chooses another screenshot and so on we go....

How the first poster of the first shot is chosen im not quite sure. Could be fun! :D

I like that idea! And I think you would have the first shot, since you thought it up!

Ive had a couple guys edit a few of my shots this week now... this could work!

LOL yes, i guess so - but i think it may be frowned upon if i go creating my own competitons in the screenshot workshop!

What does Krigl think?

I think this is how 'EDIT THIS ' once was, I've had a look back at a few of the comps and they sometimes used screenshots instead of photos for composites. Still a great idea though, but it's gonna take more interest in the 'EDIT THIS' comp to keep it going I think!

Edit THAT! sound's awesome.... ;D

Krigl thinks it's a good idea, but maybe as a mutation of Edit This... the winner will nominate a photo or a screenshot, it doesn't matter, it's down to personal taste.

It would also be good if it could be 'member driven' as the amount of time I have is just diminishing and diminishing under increased workload.  :'(

I.e. no templates, no 'write to Krigl and he'll set it up' - non-mod members will take care of it themselves. Or perhaps a 'member monitor' or two could run it - say.. Todayshorse and maybe Mic??  :D
Just keep an eye on it, and send the weekly winning shot to Krigl, labelled and with a thumbnail, for inclusion in the edit this gallery. What do you think?

Edit this is Mic's baby so perhaps you could take it up with him too...?

Ok ok :D

Personlay i think 'EDIT THIS' and 'EDIT THAT' should still be seperate, although i dont want to step on Mics toes :-[  EDIT THAT being a pure screenshot editing contest, using paint.net or PSP or whatever editing programme - utilising no photograpic components if EDIT THIS is staying a pure 'take this photo and edit it in any way you like' contest.

EDIT THAT becomes somthing you dont need those extra skills to do whilst EDIT THIS remains for those who like the challenge of composites. I know i struggle with those ;D

Im willing to knock somthing up and kick it off if Mic doesnt mind - either just kicking it off and allowing future winners to put the next contest up or acting in the 'krigl' role and posting the contest, what do you guys think? And, what does Mic think?

Im usualy free most weekends, its the weekdays i struggle with as i work the dafest hours known to man - so i can certainly do the weekly thing if thats whats agreed.
