Thanks m8 I watched a doc on this mission recently, always great to see anything on it. It got me thinking.   :)

Lovely work. For my money the first picyure packs more punch m8, It is just slightly too blue.

The effects added to your second version are starting to breathe life in it and starting to tell the story. The muzzle flash from those guns would have to create some spread of light, maybe the glass of the gun turret would catch a little of it,
