Use the Magic Wand tool to fill in the outside of the aircraft (or easier, fill in just the aircraft, right click, invert selection) and use the blur tool. It will only let you use blur tool on what you have selected with the magic wand :)

Okay but if you use the magic wand do you have to draw all around the airplane by yourself with it.... :-?

no you dont lol. click inside the area you want to highlight, if it doesnt get it all due to colour lines or shadows and stuff, hold shift as you click other bits to add areas.

What he said 8-) Expirement a little before you try any "serious" editing. It will make all the difference in the world.

if it covers all of the picture, do the reverse. right click in the area you dont want to keep and select 'subtract from selection'

Magic wand is a swine and not always highly accurate!

A tutorial is a bit outside my capabilites, i rarely use magic wand unless im repainting textures so my paint/area/ stays inside the frame of the fuselage or whatever.

gimp is a little harder to use, but you can do more with it.  It's about as close as you can get to photoshop cs for free.

I use 'Paint for Crop Premium' It was originally made by Micro$oft under a different name, but the Glorious Peoples Republic of China had other plans.
