It's actually a direct hit on Bristol City Football Clb's ground ;) (Rovers fan)

That being said, this edit is beautiful... although why are American B-52's dropping bombs on British cities? Did the alliance fall to pieces? ;D

well.....to get the nuke affect...

I found a pic on the net of a nuke just exploding (archive US footage), cut it out roughly and stuck it on where I wanted it to be....then I smudged it out a bit using the smudge tool and that brush which is made up of lots of little dots....

The shockwave is a ring of semi-opaque white paint smudged in the same way as the above...

The light was just simply an onmi directional lighting effect appied to the background....(can be found under filters/render/lighting effects)
