You tried to make it look likea painting huh? Well guess what bub! It does! I seriously would have thought that this was a painting. you should print it and sell it for $500 a peice.
Very Very good edit. I wish I had an editing system like everyone else.

Apparently (I myself don't edit) there is a decent freeware program called GIMP that contains all the tools you'd need to do a composite image from FS...

oooh..its back...it appeared for a minute and I wrote a reply and it deleted itself :D

Lovely shot mate....the greys and blues go really well with each other...

The only thing IMO to work on is the canopy, which is a bit transparent for my liking ;)

Other than that top notch stuff....maybe a gallery nomination :)

PS....do you have a larger version you could upload somewhere...looks like this has been compressed a bit :)

Nice work! The canopy could use some desaturation, as it is too blue IMHO and the fuel tank seems to be blurred. Apart from that I don't see any major flaws and the composition and tones are excellent!  :)

That's really good.

The canopy has been mentioned already - Take care not to loose the highlight work you have done on it. just try to get the blue sorted

Excellent Chris! Mind telling us how you get that painting effect, I have been looking for a good, reliable way to do it for some time now.

thanks a lot fellas!! you got it!! there's a few ways to do it. one thing i did was to put the contrast up a little bit more than where it usually is, to help bring out all the colors. then i played around with the color balance and added some blues and a little bit of red. did the same thing with the background image, just not as much because its not the main focus of the image.  ;) then for the wingtip contrails i used an airbrush and a light opacity paint, and then smudged it a little bit to give it more of a paintbrush appearance.

hope this helps!!  ;D  :D
