Beautiful, Andy! I can see that you're quickly "finding your groove" with these! :)
I'm gonna make a little critique, not because the image is bad but rather because it's so good! I also know what you can do from having seen your past work. There's nothing standing between you and the gold but a little bit of spiffiing up, M8! :)
Look at the rotor blades directly above the helo and towards the rear. They have a "halo" of lighter, cleaner blue around them which doesn't match the surrounding sky. It's sort of a big deal in this one because the helo is the subject, central in the image, the blades are a big part of the subject (the "action" part), and it shows up so much against the sky, which is where the helo lives. Do away with that and you'll kick the image up a notch, IMHO! ;)
For the future, to gild the lily, you might consider adding some water turbulence or even some mist being kicked up.
There are those who would say that the helo shouldn't be "hidden" against the trees in the background. I've never really subscribed to that school of thinking. Looks good to me. Probably not an issue unless you post at other image sites and want to receive awards there. Then you'll have to choose between your artistic vision and awards, hee, hee! ;D
Very nice background image, BTW! :)
Cheers,
Don
