A simple but (I think) dramatic edit;

Postby spitfire boy » Sun Jul 01, 2007 9:52 am

As I said in the freeware section, here is an edit of my most recent shot, of a typhoon and 4 BAE Hawks, all in red arrows livery.

All I did was use the 'edge detection' feature in Irfanview, and this is what happened;

Do you mean those things hanging off the hawks that look like bomb bay doors? Those are stabilising fins. But you're right, now that I look at it. Maybe I should have titled it 'bombs away!' ;)

Not much I'm afraid - it wasn't really hard to do this one - aa anyone with Irfanview knows. I don't really have the patience required to do anything more complicated, like you and Brett are so good at.

Of course, you can do it, SB! If I can do it, you can do it! :)

For a long time I just made non-edited screen captures. Then I started editing with Irfanview. It was only after a long time that I tried composites.  ;)

Start slow and easy. When you know Irfanview really well and have pushed it to it's limits, then try something more complex. No rush! Easy does it, M8! Slow and steady!  :)
