Don't give up on it..  You got a great base here to work with.  The overall shot is really nice but you need to start being aware of where the light is coming from and how it would look on the aircraft.  That makes a massive difference.

Agreed!

If you put the aircraft the other way around (right to left) that would look much better because that would mean the light is coming from the same direction on both the aircraft and the scenery :) Very good one overall still!
