Nice pic, but I don't get the title.... ::)

There are two Mig-29s in the backround that the F-15s are running from.  ;)

Yep  ;D

Not only is the F-15 a superior plane (Except in close range missile fights. The MiG-29 can take just about anything there), but the F-15's have the MiG's outnumbered  ;)

Very nice shot though!

I don't think flying in formation would be a very good idea in this situation though...

Same here.

Should be about time for a split-up.

Nice idea Sytse hit the nail on the head though..  Anyway it would have been all over 30 miles back.

DF, it's about the visual image, M8, not about whether the BTU's coming out of the exhaust of the number 3 plane are in accordance with the physics model. It looks good. It tells a story and I can think of a lot of reasons for that scenario to actually happen.  ;)

For example, maybe the formation was close to Russian territory so the Migs came up. The 15 pilots may have been ordered to show no hostile intent by staying in formation rather than going defensive or offensive.  :)

At any rate, I see that you have discovered one of the most simple solutions regarding the presentation of canopies; have the aircraft showing through them. It works and works well. Saves a lot of messing around.  :)

You have imagination, M8! Hang on to that no matter what anyone says! As an artist, you can go where ever you want to without having to consult with military experts first. You are making art, not illustrating a manual for the USAF!  8-)
