Though simple, yet effective.  The third one is great, but not as much as the second one ( maybe because of the faded edges).  The first one needs to be in color to get it's depth  ;)

I think the first one looks best in color, but #3 in good in B&W :)

To get depth in the first two ...... just add more contrast.

As a Dutchman, I find the first pic the best, it's really good.
Although I think 'old' pics are best with a little blur, and because the pic is so great, I did it for you :D
