Remembering...

A World War II veteran takes a stroll down memory lane.

If anyone's interested, I have a slightly bigger version of this pic, showing only the "photo" with no background.

Comment if you like.

I like it..great background as well as the "aged" typewriter'ed letter. the simple noise effect is also a great "realistic effect... though many of the pictures of that time frame had fringed (is that the word..? ) edges like half circles....as well as age tends to cause the edges to crumble and friay a bit..  from the acidtone in the paper and the chemicals used in the processing

Cheers for the comments, all. :)

I agree about the edges of the photo. After I'd uploaded it and really looked at it, I decided it would look better with some more frayed edges. I think I might give that a try. I'll post a new version if I come up with something good.

Thats the worst thing about photoshop and editing....

I am the same way...right after I post, I realize there was just one more thing I should have added....  :)

Indeed, I've come across that situation far too much. I sometimes find myself spending most of my editing time scrutinising my last edit and making sure there's nothing else I want to add. ;D

Now that I'm already posting something, might as well post my revision:

It was a really quick fix, but I feel it greatly enhances the authenticity. Let me know what you think.
