New Splash Screens - B757-200

OK, found a new thing to work on for edited screen shots -- splash screens.

I like the first one the best.

All three models are from Projectopensky.

Cheers,

Gus

Stunning...that's all I can say....any chance I might use one of them Gus....Commoner :D

Not being picky in any way but would a slight bevel look better...?..make it stand off the screen maybe?

Hey,

Thanks for the compliments guys!

I might try doing a beveled one in the future but I made a few using Varig liveries with a 777 and an MD-11 which I am posting next.

Cheers,

Gus

Absolutely stunning, Gus!  Wow!  Any chance of a tute?  lol

I've played with some splashes in the past, but I can't figure out how to use the font/text that is included in the uires directory on a larger scale as an overlay, so to speak!

Gorgeous stuff!
Great edit, Bob.

Thanks Mohawk -- perhaps your friend can get me some work for DHL? Just dreaming here.

Hyperion, I created the splash screens from scratch and used fonts (using Photoshop 7.0) that came close to the original splash screen which I used as a guide or example. I think you can do the same thing with PSP but I haven't used PSP in years -- then it's a matter of having the fonts installed in windows.

I might make some kind of tutorial in the future. The best advice is that if you want to use an aircraft as an overlay to take the first screenshot with a simple background. This can either be a "clear skies" weather setting or a solid IMC which provides a near white background and makes it much simpler for using the "magic wand" to mask out the aircraft by deleting the background -- I can do this in several minutes.

Another thing to do is to manipulate the spot view settings which can recreate different lens settings like in a camera. Add to this maneuvering the aircraft in "slew" mode and playing with the lighting via the date and time settings. I also use the hat switch on my joystick for panning.

Cheers,

Gus
