nice

i have a crappy monitor but the second one appears to be the best to me

the mirage one is pretty good too. . .but the flame seems a little bent down to me

Dave, one thing confuses me on your second shot.....it looks to me like you have installed a light in the nose chin pod which normally houses the TV camera and the IRST(Search & Tracking System-Infrared) ?
Could that just be a solar reflection from one of the lens covers ?  ???

With your image, you made me go find out.....seems there is a small light housed in there along with a an antenna ..........
Underneath the nose of the F-14 A and B(A+), a TCS (Television Camera Set) pod is carried along with a small position light and ECM fairing. In the D model, a dual chin pod is used to house both the
TCS and the new IRST (InfraRed Search and Track) system. The position light and ECM antenna were retained.
