Airplanes adhere to physics - not open minds.
The "Wobbly Goblin" is unstable, but so are many other airplanes. They use flight computers to actually stay in the sky. But I doubt that any of this is relevant - what is relevant, is that an open mind with regards to 'aesthetics' or 'concepts' will not build an airplane properly.
A380 is not ugly, neither is most planes you put into your poll, B-52 is ugly though

Uh - when you have four rotors, you don't need a tail-rotor. The same can be said for two rotors.

Yes, it is real. The Guppy was cobbled together to carry sections of space rockets from manufacture to assembly. Some would cal it ugly. I give it five stars for the idea...
