What is it? 3

Last one for now. Taken in the static park at an air display this season. I couldn't get any closer.

Hi Paul. It wasn't as bad as it looks. A tad hazy that's all.  It hasn't rained at any of the events I've been to this season. I'm an old hand at this lark. 8) ;)

Like Thies said, the ATG Javelin.  That has to be the coolest civilian jet out there.  I saw it at AirVenture this year, and looks like it would be loads of fun.  I thought they were thinking about putting ejection seats in it as well, which would just be really cool.  I'll have to start saving a couple of dollars here and there, and maybe I can get one of those soon. ;D ;)

I suspect it's also plastic... ;D

Shame. I'd like to see one fly. Any wealthy business people want to bring one over?

Did they also look at making it supersonic too, or was that another Rutan project? I seem to remember something, about a private supersonic "small" jet.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

I first saw the ATG Javelin mockup at the NBAA convention in Orlando about 3 years ago.  Since then, it's flown, and from what I've read, it's also being studied/developed as a military trainer with light attack capabilities...

Hmmm - they're listed as exhibitors for the 2006 convention in ORlando later this month....
