To the best of my knowledge Northwest Airlines is the only major airline still flying the DC-10.  Sun Country had them for a little while but they never flew internation routes so they got rid of them.  Plus their market value is about that of the much smaller DC-9 still in service in many parts of the world.

KLM got a few DC-10's
Biggest competitor was the L-1011

DC-10 market was mostly US and a few european carriers.
BA choose the L-1011 because they had RR engines.

KLM doesn't have any DC-10's anymore...the MD-11's are almost history too!

by the way...the MD-11 is the latest DC-10. you can seperate them by looking to the winglets...a DC-10 doesn't have those...
Raw power...the J-58.

and the tailcone - DC-10 is sort of a "bullet" the MD-11 is more of a "chisel"

I remember working as a contractor at McDonnel Douglas.  I worked at the facility that built the MD11s, MD80s, and C17s.  Most memorable expierence.  I recall see all the completed aircraft parked on the tarmac waiting for delivery.  A multitude of airlines's aircraft, all parked side by side.

Also, the MD11 is a stretch version of the DC10.

I don't recall seeing many tri-holers in my life...we get a few FedEx tri-holers at YSSY but those are just MD-11s. Pffft. Cold and sterile piece of...
