Looks somewhat familiar, but very nice! :)

(Basically it's the production version of the Mig-29 OVT...)

That's pretty impressive.  Are all MiG-35's two seaters, and does that mean they're dedicated strike aircraft, like the F-15E?

Not that I'm aware of, as the single seat Mig-29 OVT demonstrator seen around the shows last year is at the big Indian air show at the moment exhibited as the Mig-35.

Very nice! Vectored Thrust and all! It still has nothing on the Su-37 though  ;)

Basically a totally new plane (although it keeps the MiG-29 shape)
Cockpit has been reshaped (higher seats)
Fly-by-Wire system added (wasnt there in the MiG-29)
TVC engines but no canards

Doesnt have to as it is meant for a totally different role

F-15E is like Su-30MK... MiG-29 is point defense just like the F-16
Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and [url=http://an24.uw.hu/]An-24RV[/ur

Aye, sounds sensible - why develop a completely new airframe if you can upgrade an existing type with new systems and FBW. Interesting you mentioning the cockpit - on the two seater I was thinking it looked a little different (but not too much).

I do like the look of that two seater. :)

That looks very smart. Probably one of the nicest looking twin sticks around!

Basically the most visible difference for the two seater is the narrower metal area on the canopy behind the front seat
And they changed the IR/laser targeting sensor so that it has even more vision angle now (moved to the same position as on Su-27 and more plexiglass)

That one is a prototype... basically a late model basic MiG-29 with the computers and the engines of the OVT. Might have some aerodynamic changes but not all that are on the production version. Porbably keeps the standard analog gauges too.
