The Golden Gate Bridge.

I flew a 747 under it.  I've heard that other simmers have flown 747's upside down under it.

Woo hoo!

Since they're drafts I'll have to wait until tomorrow to collect.

What a fantastic shot....!

Looking across the "Golden Gate", (the stretch of water between San Francisco and Marin County), to Marin County.
I wonder what the date is?...mid 1930's.
(Its quite a recent bridge!)

My wife and I walked over it many years ago just to say we had done it. Great view into the bay and a real appreciation of engineering as you looked up, BUT MY GOD IT WAS LOUD, WE HAD TO SHOUT AT EACH OTHER TO HEAR ANYTHING, apparently Palestinians are not part of the big picture on the bridge. Some idiot lets cars, truck and buses use it ;D ;D. Fort point is well worth a visit, unfortunately it has to compete with Alcatraz, but the plus side, at least there are no big crowds

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Its a wonderful piece of engineering, and an object of great beauty.
(Its also a popular place to end ones miserable existence on this Planet, by leaping into the water below!).

The book I mentioned above describes its construction and maintenance in it great detail.

My Sister purchased the book for me some years ago, observing my great interest in California, and the San Francisco Bay area in particular, due to my various Flight Sims, since Flight Unlimited II* in 1997!

Paul.... :)....!

My favourite stunting bridge, I notice there still haven't been any repeats of my inverted loop in Concorde of the Gate ;D ;D ;D
