1952-Fire destroys No.9 Hangar and several aircraft at 6 Repair Depot, RCAF Station Trenton.  Three Lancaster Bombers, an Avro Anson, a Harvard and a Grumman Goose were destroyed.  Approximate damage $1,000,000.

Good morning all... :)

What really got me was the price, one would be hard-pressed to purchase one or two of those aircraft for that amount now fire damaged or not.
