Air Cdre Pete Brothers, 1917-2008

It's been announced this afternoon, that Air Commodore Pete Brothers, possibly one of the most recognisable faces of the Battle of Britain, passed away on the 18th December.

Sad news, but 91 is an incredible innings in a life lived to the full.

They don't make 'em like that anymore... very sad to see these old warriors pass on.  :'(

But yes, he was lucky to have lived so long, considering the odds. And he made the most of it.  :)
