October 5, 1967, astronaut C.C. Williams killed

As some of you may know, during the pursuit to put a man on the moon...there were several American (and Soviet) astronauts killed along the way.

Very sad indeed. Lets all remember C.C. Williams and all other astronauts that were killed in the endeavor to explore space. :'(

Fascinating and sad.  I never even heard of him and I was a child of the space race.

Reading that his wings were left on the moon gives me chills. What a befitting honor for one of our bravest, best and brightest...
