1726 - The birth of (Colonel) "Do not fire until you see the whites of their eyes," William Prescott (d.1795); grandfather of historian William H.Prescott.

1962 - The Friendship Seven and John Glenn.



**In the course of perusal I found that the first potato planted in New England was at Londonderry [Common Fields], NH, in 1719. Now, I suppose, it may be claimed thay we had the first potato heads of the region. ::)

Actually, no, or not directly; much of the time I can find reference there but I rarely go there first, if at all.
