So, what was new about Berlin on the 24th of June, 1948?

A new 24 hour flight service ;D

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

The Soviets began the blockade of Berlin that then turned into the 24 hour flight service.
Basically the Cold War took off.

Rats, you said about Berlin. :P I could've gone on with this big list. In fact...

Well, you did manage to include the proper event for June 24, 1948. I was intending a more localized reference but, I suppose, the whole universe is round about it.
