Jutland

Postby ozzy72 » Wed May 31, 2006 11:57 am

Well 90 years ago today the greatest sea battle of WWI was fought. Both sides claimed victory. The British lost more men and ships but the Germans never again had a large naval engagement on the high seas....
And amazingly Britains oldest man is a survivor of this battle!

Yessur!

Is it allowed to leave the Marmelade in the glass jars when hurling it towards the Danish one?

Can we throw marmalade in jars if we pop a complimentary plaster in the jar?

Curious,

No! But you could put a load of marmalade in a balloon as a non-dangerous but very stick weapon ;)

Not so surprising since the old "Jute Land" comprises the major, mainland portion of Denmark; notice, on a map of the North Sea, that it rather sticks out like a sore thumb? 8)

that "main land" is actually an island, cut off from the continent by the north-east-sea-channel

does that make it an amputated sore thumb?
the reasonable man adjusts to his souroundings, while the unreasonable man insists on adjusting his souroundings to him.

therefore all progress is due to the unreasonable man.

Only because the Hungarian word for peninsular happens to mirror translate into English as half-island ;)
