Try a search on Google. I found this which suggests that Stade is still in use. http://www.matronics.com/digest/europa-list/Digest.Europa-List.2003-05-10.txt

We will provide for beverages and snacks at the airfield.

FRIENDLY FIRE

"It is February 13, 1944. The controller at Divisional Operation Theater at Stade [Higher Command, 60 miles west of Hamburg] who is following the bomber stream along the North Sea over Holland and the Frisian Islands expects air raids against northern German cities or Berlin. We get the order to move from our home base of Twente [Holland] to Wittmundhaven, a night-fighter airfield near the coast. This is necessary to intercept the bombers.

Or you can just start a discussion on the German night fighter force which I find fascinating as I have that sick twisted mind...

Nothing sick about finding the other side good.

...that has something about the grim night hunting in an evil-looking aircraft. ;D

Not as evil looking as sone english designs. ::) ;P

That chip on your shoulder is showing again Bjorn. :P ;) Most nightfighters look sinister. Creatures of the night & all that. Maybe more so in the case of the German ones mainly because of the camo & Radar arrays. ::)

I tend to agree, German nightfighters from that era were pretty sinister looking. I am quite fascinated with all of those old German planes, especially the early jets. At one time I had a whole collection of jets from WWII for FS... before my hard drive died.

Nothing sick about finding the other side good.

Actually it's a morbid, sick twisted fascination for sinister looking aircraft.

Thanks Hagar.

I may be wrong, (only going off the name and location) but it sounds like an airfield that is a sub-project of Aden Airays.

Main site http://www.adenairways.com/

RAF Schleswig site: http://www.adenairways.com/schleswig/

might find some info there.

Also nothing bad about that. In fact, most english avoation enthusiasts have the same attitude as you. xD

I stand by my opinion Bjorn. Read the whole thing:
sick twisted mind that has something about the grim night hunting in an evil-looking aircraft

*Loads up Bf110G4 nachtjager with marmelade ammo and finds the route to Bjorn's house* ;D ;D ;D

Hey Heretic, you running for dear life yet? *fires 20mm and 30mm cannon right on target*

I don't know why so little info remains about Stade, I mean it was a nachtj
