It's difficult to believe any would still be around since they'd be near the age of 80. On the island of Guam, however, hundreds jumped off of the north end of the island, including civilians (many Japanese soldiers started families while they occupied the island); they'd heard all sorts of propaganda about capture: they'd be tortured to death, their kids would be boiled and eaten, etc. Any of the latter who, instead, went into hiding in the jungle may yet be around, I suppose. Since riflemen have had to shoot the excess of wild boar off the runway, I guess there's been enough food source in the jungle.
