OK , all you knowledgable pilots & Sim pilots out there, - What is this ?? Never ever seen anything even remotely that looks like this. This is not a trick question either, for I have no idea or clue what this is, but, I want one for my FSX Sim, if one of you Aircraft designers wanna make one for simmin ~ !!Image

It's the Custer Channel Wing, a 40s/50s experimental aircraft.

I've actually never seen anything like it, but thanks to google, I simply typed in "U shaped wing" and found a match!

Oh, one more thing.  I can't find where you can get this for FSX, but, I know it's been made because I found this youtube video:

Maybe the guy who uploaded the video might know...

Seems like someone placed two bottom halves of the Stipa-Caproni on that airplane's wings!

Cracking find  8-)
Some impressive figures. Take off at around 20mph and tha ability to fly at 8 to 11 mph. This is a very much missed opportunity for modern aviation. For example police forces using hugely expensive helicopters for surveillance and such when they could be using this at a fraction of the cost.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

I also suspect this would do well in alaska and canada, its faster then a grand caravan and it needs about the same runway lenght(I think)

Well, considering it can fly at 8 to 11 mph... around taxi speed... I would assume the runway length required is only about a hair of what a grand caravan would need
