Got to see a B1 Lancer take off, circle and land yesterday(monday)...

It was awesome! I live about an hour and a half away from Ellsworth AFB in South Dakota. I knew they were going to be flying them today so I went and watched.

Why you not take camera? That is my favorite bomber to bad the USAF brass never went with the plan to modernize it with the F-22 style motors, and other stuff, that would have made it even more bad ass.

They should be doing it again here soon.  :)  I will try and go and take pictures and/or record a video of the Lancer(s) taking off. The sound is just really cool... Lol    8-)

I believe that was the B-1R project. I have no idea what has come of it, I think the project quietly died. But with the B-X program in full swing then maybe it could come back. One can hope!
