Hi Mark... :)

Wonderful story.

I thought there were several of those in museums somewhere like Russia perhaps?

I am also wondering if there are any other bombers that belonged to all the Axis Powers that are in museums?

Well I am thinking about it, what about the Stirling and Wellington, are there any of those intact in a museum?

The Beeb is a tad late with this story. http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?t=103006

They have some examples at the RAF Museum sites. All static I'm afraid. http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/

No Stirling survivors to the best of my knowledge. The RAF Museum Wellington is currently at Cosford undergoing restoration. http://www.bfbs.com/news/england/restoring-last-surviving-wellington-bomber-its-former-glory-39454.html

There's another one at Brooklands. http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/index.php?/explore/vickers-290-wellington-1a-n2980-1939/
