50 Seat Regional Jet Series

Postby Northwest 102 » Wed Mar 30, 2011 8:54 am

I recently had an idea.  Most airlines right now are getting rid of their 50 seat RJs for bigger more economical jets.  I started wondering, what if they made some 50 seaters all first class and put them on high density routes?  You would take off sooner because it takes less time on the ground and you wouldn't pay any more then if you were on a larger jet.  I would think that $1000+ times say 40 seats ot make room for the larger more comfortable seats would far outweigh the cost than a similair 50 going at an average of say $280 per fare.  You could still pay the crew their regular wage and save some more money or rather make more money.  I don't know, good idea or bad idea?
